Jesus as the Sower

On the right wall , we see a stained glass window dedicated to Dr. William Black by his family. He was on the faculty of psychology at UBC and a prominent member of this congregation for many years. The design of our church building and interior was due largely to Dr. Black’s influence. He was deeply interested in social concerns and kept such matters before the denomination and its people.

The window depicts Jesus as a sower - spreading the Word of God. Across the bottom of the window is the scripture verse,“Behold a sower went forth to sow” with the inscription, “This was given to the glory of God and in loving memory of Dr. William Griffiths Black.”
